The main characteristic of the high precision aluminium cast plate ACP 5080MF is its mirror finished surface (max. Ra 0.15 μm) on one side. The other side is precision surface machined. ACP 5080MF extends the major advantages of the ACP products such as fine grain structure, extremely low porosity, low-stress, dimensional stability and excellent mechanical and physical properties with an optically perfect mirror surface finish, which is covered by a protective foil.
MF stands for mirror finished. Using a particular milling technique the ACP 5080MF precision cast plate is given a surface as smooth as glass requiring no hand-polishing. With a maximum surface parameter (Ra) of 0.15 μm flawless optical quality is consistently assured.
The reverse side is surface machined. As with all ACP products, a fine-grained and pore-free aluminium cast structure with well-balanced mechanical characteristics is mark the ACP 5080MF. It features low tension and high stability of shape. In its making we face outstanding requirements.
The ACP 5080MF solar panel was judged by the European Aluminium Award 2008 jury to be excellent, awarding it the coveted prize in the class of ‘Industrial Products’. The reflective aluminium plate is utilized in the solar, measuring and laser technology fields in vacuum applications, food and medical technology as well as in the optical industry.
